David Gori Obituary: David Gori, an esteemed educator who dedicated over two decades to the students and families of Saugerties, passed away recently, his loss has deeply affected the district and community, where his commitment and kindness left an everlasting impression.
For 23 years, Mr. Gori played a pivotal role in the educational journey of countless students. His ability to connect with young minds, encourage growth, and foster a love for learning made him a cornerstone of the district. Beyond academics, he was a mentor, a friend, and a steadfast supporter of his colleagues and students alike.
To honor Mr. Gori’s life and legacy, a funeral mass will be held on Monday, December 9, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church in Saugerties (36 Cedar Street). Calling hours are on Sunday, December 8, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home in Greenville (4898 New York 81). The district has announced a closure on Monday to allow the community to pay their respects.
