Kevin Winters, a Detective Grade 3 at 105th Precinct Detective Squad died from suicide following a battle with depression.
Who Was Kevin Winters?
Kevin Winters was a member of the 105 Detective Squad and a member of the NYPD Lacrosse team. He also served at the 105th Precinct. Detective Kevin Shane Winters was a beloved husband and a caring father to two beautiful girls.

The Farmingdale and Long Island, NY communities are mourning the tragic death of NYPD Detective Kevin Shane Winters who lost his battle with depression this week. Kevin was a loving man and a great family-oriented father who loved his community. Kevin was found dead by suicide on Saturday, December 7, 2024.
Kevin was most recently assigned to the 105 Detective Squad and was also a member of the NYPD Lacrosse team. While Kevin loved Notre Dame, Batman, and the NY Rangers he loved his wife Jenn, and his 2 young daughters Harper and Peyton even more.
