Katelyn Escott Obituary: On December 5, 2024, the world lost an extraordinary soul. Katelyn passed away in a wingsuit BASE jumping accident in Squamish, BC, a place she held close to her heart. She left us while pursuing her greatest passion, embodying the fearless spirit that defined her remarkable life.
Katelyn was a beacon of light and adventure, a person who met life head-on with courage and joy. She was a friend, sister, and inspiration to so many. Her love of adventure extended far beyond the skies—she brought laughter, energy, and a unique zest for life to everyone lucky enough to know her.
Her family and friends remember her as someone who wanted life to be celebrated, not mourned. To honor her memory, they invite you to share photos and videos of Katelyn doing what she loved most. If you have memories to send directly to her family, please email her sister, Reba, at Sledneckanize@gmail.com.
Plans for a celebration of Katelyn’s extraordinary life will be announced soon. Until then, we hold onto the legacy of joy, courage, and adventure she leaves behind. Though she has flown from this world, she will forever soar in the hearts of those who loved her.
