Antonio Valente Obituary: Antonio (Tony) Valente, a beloved resident of Troy, MI, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2024, at the age of 66. Born in Detroit, MI, Tony was known for his unwavering love for his family, his entrepreneurial spirit, and his generous heart.
Tony shared 46 wonderful years of marriage with his devoted wife, Doreen. Together, they built a loving family, raising their three sons, Tony (Erin), Michael, and David (Christie). He was a proud grandfather to Emmy and McKenna, whose laughter and smiles brought him immense joy. Tony was also a cherished brother to Mario (Jacquelyn), with whom he shared a lifetime of memories and accomplishments.
A Legacy Built on Hard Work
In 1981, Tony and his brother Mario turned a shared dream into reality by founding A&M Service Center & Towing. Starting with just one truck, they poured their dedication into the business, growing it into a trusted cornerstone of the towing community. Tony’s passion for his work was matched only by the relationships he built within the industry, leaving a lasting impact on colleagues and customers alike.
A Life of Passion and Joy
Tony’s love for life extended beyond his work. He was deeply involved in his sons’ lives, coaching their sports teams and celebrating their victories as their biggest supporter. He had a lifelong passion for drag racing, spending cherished moments with his son Michael racing his prized 1962 Chevy Impala and 1969 Chevy Camaro. Tony also found happiness in the great outdoors, riding ATVs with his sons and close friends.

Tony was known for his kindness, generosity, and ability to bring people together. Whether he was helping a friend, guiding his family, or building a community through his business, Tony made everyone feel welcome and valued. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Tony’s life during visitation hours at A.J. Desmond & Sons (Price Chapel), 3725 Rochester Road, Troy, MI: Saturday, December 7, 2024: 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Sunday, December 8, 2024: 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM (Rosary at 6:00 PM)
A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, December 9, 2024, at 10:00 AM, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 280 Square Lake Road, Troy, MI. Visitation at the church will begin at 9:30 AM. Tony Valente’s kindness, dedication, and love will forever be remembered and cherished by his family, friends, and community. May he rest in eternal peace.
